Old Saigon Picture of the Day: Cyclo Drivers

Even though Saigon has gone through many changes over the last century, there are certain characteristics of the city that have endured.
Before the age of the motorbike, cyclos were one of the most common modes of transportation for locals and foreigners alike.
While still abundant, these days, cyclos are mainly used to cheaply transport goods around the city and ferrying tourists around town.
But while their original function has been co-opted by xe oms and taxis, they are still an iconic, and for some, romantic symbol of Saigon.
