Above It All at Cloud 9 HCMC
…or so is what you feel when you visit the roof top lounge of Cloud 9 on the border of District 1! Not only for the sheer height of the place, but the atmosphere of peace one attains by being a few floors above street level.
Located just off Turtle Lake roundabout behind Diamond Plaza, Cloud 9, which opened its doors two years ago, has recently been renovated.
With an updated concept, look and menu, Cloud 9 is raising its game to compete with some of the top bars and lounges of beautiful Saigon.
Andy, the chef behind the new food menu, has created something in-between fine dining and tapas: sharing portions of finger food, well presented and prepared to perfection.

The prawn satay skewers with coriander and coconut cream, as well as the chicken and green onion yakitori were fabulous; very nice presentation and ideal to share with others while having a drink or two.
The peppered fish skewers with sesame mayo is another example of how the craft and skill of a good chef can convert a snack into an elegant dish.
However, food is not all what Cloud 9 is about. It’s more as a gathering point for people to get together, relax and chat after work or on the weekend, while enjoying a few drinks.
If you like good cocktails, you will not be disappointed as the signature cocktail list is extensive and well prepared and presented. If you like rum, try the Madonna meets Ron Zacapa, an exotic mix with one of the best rums available in Vietnam; or if you want something punchier go for the Cloud 9’s dragon fist punch, and let’s see how many you can survive!
Cloud 9 also offers the option of reserving the space for a BBQ of up to 50 people.
